82 servings because 27x3=81 then 81+1 (from the 1/2) = 1 and 81+1=81 so the answer is 82

Answer

Find out the how many whole servings will be provided .

To prove

Let us assume that the number of servings be x.

As given

A caterer prepared a turkey that weighed
27 (1)/(2) pounds.

i.e A caterer prepared a turkey that weighed
(55)/(2)pounds.

Each serving of turkey will be
(1)/(3) pound.

Than the equation becomes in the form

(1* x)/(3) = (55)/(2)

x = (55* 3)/(2)

x = (165)/(2)

x =82.5

Therefore the number of servings will be provided be 82.
