30/4 is 7.5 and 7.5 times 3 is 22.5 so 75% of 30 should be 22.5

so percent means parts out of 100 so 75%=75/100=3/4
3/4 of 30
'of' means multiply
3/4 times 30=90/4=45/2=22.5
22.5 is the answer (or 22 and 1/2)
