PART A:
x = how many 3/16 pound servings are in the bag.
3/16x = 7/8
PART B:
You need to turn these fractions into decimals:
3/16 = 0.1875
7/8 = 0.875
Rewrite the equation:
0.1875x = 0.875
Solve algebraically. Divide both sides by 0.1875.
0.875/0.1875 = 4.67
x = 4.67.
There are 4.67 3/16 pound servings in a bag containing 7/8 pounds of granola.

Answer :

PART A.

Let quantity of servings of granola in the bag = x pounds

\text{Part of the servings of granola in the bag = }(3)/(16)\\\\\text{Total quantity of servings of granola to be contained in the bag = }(3)/(16)\cdot x\\\\\text{Quantity of granola in the bag to be contained = }(7)/(8)

Now, Total quantity of servings of granola to be contained in the bag = Quantity of granola in the bag to be contained

\implies (3)/(16)\cdot x=(7)/(8)

PART B. Finding the value of the above expression :

(3)/(16)\cdot x=(7)/(8)\\\\\implies 3x* 8=16* 7\\\\\implies 3x=(112)/(8)\\\\\implies 3x=14\\\\\implies x=(14)/(3)
