A store has 30 boxes of melons. Each box holds 4 bags. Each bag holds 2 melons. What is the total number of melons in the store?

1st Method:

30 * 4 * 2
120 * 2
240 melons

2nd Method:

1 box --> 8 melons
30 * 8
240 melons

For both methods the answer is . . .

First, multiply the # of boxes and # of bags
(30 * 4 = 120)

Then, multiply that with 2
(120*2=240)

Thus, the store has 240 melons .
