What does "base edge length" mean?

"A regular pentagonal prism has a height of 14 in. and a base edge length of 10 in. Identify its lateral area and surface area."

I don't need help finding out the answer, I just need clarification on what "base edge length of 10 in." means.

that means the legnth of one of the sides that are touching the ground
