27.5 of pages of the book
60÷12=5
5.5×5=27.5

60 mins per hour
we are trying to find an equivilent fraction that has 60 in the bottom
so
(5 and 1/2)/12=x/60
multiply both sides by 60
330/12=x
divide
27 and 1/2=x
she read 27.5 pages per minute
