700+500=1200

You can write an equation for this problem: y = 700 + 50x. y is the predicted population, and x is the number of years.
To solve the problem, plug in 10 as your x value.
50 × 10 = 500.
700 + 500 = 1200.
In ten years, there will be 1200 students.
