The length of a rectangle is 4/5 feet the width is 5/8 feet how much greater is the length of the rectangle than the width

We know the length and width, so the width subtracted from the length will tell us how much bigger the length is.

(4)/(5) - (5)/(8)

= (32)/(40) - (25)/(40)

= (7)/(40)
So the length is
(7)/(40) feet longer than the width
