religious and social conflicts between the Jews. Before converting to Christianity, Paul was a member of a strict Jewish sect called the Pharisee. This was a sect that vehemently opposed any person following Christianity and even executed them. The Pharisees were sometimes a political, a school of thought in the Holy land or a social movement during the period of Second Temple Judaism. There was great conflict between the Pharisees and the Sadducees and it was long standing conflict based on social and religious beliefs among the Jews. After the Second Temple got demolished in 70CE the Pharisees beliefs became ritualistic based.
