$8 = cost of large pizza
n = number of large pizza sold
t = total amount of money in dollars earned.

The equation representing the total amount of money, in dollars, made on $8 selling pizzas all throughout the weekend is:

t = $8n

This means that the total amount in dollars is in direct variation to the number of large pizza sold over the weekend where the cost of $8 is constant. Therefor, the more number of large pizzas sold throughout the weekend, the bigger the total amount of money in dollars will be.
