We can solve this equation using the quadratic formula
Check it out...

x² + 6x - 24 = 0

Δ = 6² - 4.1.(-24)
Δ = 36 + 96
Δ = 132

x = -6 +/- √132 x' = -3 + √33

2 \
x'' = - 3 - √33
The correct answer is the letter D
