Select all choices which could lead to a biased result.

1. Randomly calling telephone numbers to ask if people are satisfied with their service
2. Randomly calling people whose last name starts with ‘W’ to ask if they are satisfied with their service
3. Asking high school senior girls what they thought of their school
4. Randomly asking men if they like the feel of a certain towel

3 and 4 because girls might like the school while boys don't and because men might hate the towel but women might love it.

Answer:

Option 3rd and 4th are correct options.

Explanation:

A biased result is defined as a result that comes from incomplete sampling. When all the person in a population are not surveyed rather the survey is done with only a few part of the population, then a biased result could be possible.

So, here in option 3rd only girls are asked about their thoughts and not the boys or the complete high school. In option 4th also only men are being asked about their thoughts and not the females. These two could lead to biased result.
