So...48% of x is equal to 50 :
0.48x = 50

Find 10%= 5 ( move the decimal place once)
5x4=20
To find the 8% find 1% which equals 0.5 ( move the decimal point 2 places) then 0.5x 8= 4

Add 40% =20 and 8%=4
=24
