It indicates that glycolysis doesn't involve oxygen in its process unlike aerobic process.

Glycosis helps to process glucose to pyruvate in many cellular respiration procedure.

Cellular respiration is also considered a part of the metabolism process. This process actually helps in carrying the oxygen through the blood.
Two types: Anaerobic and aerobic respiration
Anaerobic respiration doesn't use oxygen during its respiration process while the aerobic respiration uses oxygen.
