The height of the book from the ground = 1.0 m + 0.5 m = 1.5 m

The mass of the book = 1 kg

We know that =

P.E.=m*g*h

Taking 'g' as 9.8 m/s² and putting the values in the formula we get -

P.E.=1*9.8*1.5

P.E.=14.7
