Replace the comma after great with a semicolon.
A semicolon is used when a writer can stop, but chooses to go on. "I thought his song was great" is a sentence in itself.
Since the writer chooses to go on rather than just stop there, we can replace the comma with a semicolon and continue with " even though I don't like country music."

Answer:

The answer to your question is none of the above.

Step-by-step explanation:

"Even though" is a subordinating conjunction. Subordinating conjunctions create complex sentences: Sentences that have two clauses, one independent and one dependent. The conjunction creates a proper transition between the ideas and semantic relationships between them (cause and effect, contrast, time, place). There should never be a comma between an independent clause and a dependent one. Nevertheless, if the subordinate clause comes before the complete sentence, you should use a comma after it (see a and b).

a) Even though I don't usually like country music, I thought his song was great

b) * Even though I don't usually like country music I thought his song was great
