Health disparities are differences in the health status of different groups of people. Some groups of people have higher rates of certain diseases. The classification of these groups of people is based on race, ethnic groups, disability, gender, immigrant status, sexual orientation, income and country of origin and residence. The quality of health care and access to said health care also plays a large role in determining health disparities. People who live in third world countries generally do not have access to high-quality medical care. On the other hand, people who live in first world countries often have access to high-quality medical care
