Describe how to round 3.987 to the nearest tenth.

First since you have a decimal the tenth place is to the right of the decimal. And the number in the tenths place is 9 so you look at the number 8 and since it is 5 or greater you round up one so now the 9 becomes 10 so the 9 will be the zero and the 3 becomes 4. So your number should be 4.0
