first total how many hours he worked total. 12x4=48
he worked a total of 48 hours. so, now multiply that by 14.
48x14=672
he has made $672

Let's brake this up. He earns 14 dollars per hour. Then he works 12 hours per week. So 14 times 12 is 168. 168 times 4 equals 672 dollars :P
