Slope of the perpendicular line is:

The multiplication of both line should be equal to -1

that mean:


m_1m_2=-1

Where m1 and m2 slopes of perpendicular line:

that mean:


m_1=(7)/(8)

Then slope of perpendicular line is:


\begin{gathered} m_1m_2=-1 \\ m_2=-(1)/(m_1) \\ m_2=-(1)/((7)/(8)) \\ m_2=-(8)/(7) \end{gathered}

So slope of perpendicular line is -8/7
