to get 10 % you have to divide by 10 .
so 154.99 ÷ 10 = 15.499.
that's 10% but you want 20% so you times 10% by 2.
15.499 X 2 = 30.998.
154.99 - 30.998 = 123.992.
you then need to round the answer so you get $123.99
