we have the following inequality:


3<2r-7

let's solve for r as follows:

step 1. add 7 to both sides


\begin{gathered} 3+7<2r-7+7 \\ 10<2r \end{gathered}

step 2. divide both sides by 2

[tex]\begin{gathered} \frac{10}{2}<\frac{2r}{2} \\ 5From the above we have that r > 5 , thus, any value greater than 5 is a solution.

Therefore:

8 is a solution

5 is not a solution

-5 is not a solution
