Move over 2x to the right:

5 = 2x - 5

Then move -5 to the left:

10 = 2x

After that, divide both sides by 2, so

x = 5.

do the same to both sides so
Figure out which side has the bigger x
4x is bigger so get rid of the numbmers on the 4x side
add 5 to both sides to get rid of the -5 on the 4x side
end up with 2x+5+5=4x+5-5
2x+10=4x
subtract 2x from both sides
2x-2x+10=4x-2x
10=2x divide both sides by 2
5=x
