Monica purchased adult and youth tickets for the fair. She bought x adult tickets for $28 each and y youth tickets for $15. Write an expression that can be used to show the total cost, C, of all tickets

Answer: C = 28x + 15y

Explanation:

To get the total cost, you'll have the add them up. The "x" was right before "$28" which makes it: (28x) and the "y" was right before "$15." which makes it (15x). Now, you'll have to add them up :)

28x + 15y

If they are specifically asking for an answer, then your official answer will be

28x + 15y = 43 (I'm not sure whether it would be an "x", or a "y", or anything something like that, lol)

or

43

but if not then you're final answer would be-

28x + 15y
