Given the following expression shown in the exercise:


7x-3+5x+9

You can identify that it has four terms.

In order to simplify it you need to remember the definition of "Like terms". By definition, Like terms are those terms that have the same veriables and the same exponents.

Therefore, you can simplify the expression given in the exercise by adding the like terms. Then, you get:


=(7x+5x)+(9-3)=12x+6

The answer is:


12x+6
