To graph the line:


y=-5-(1)/(3)x

we need to points. To find it we need to give values to x and then we find y.

If x=0 then y=-5 and we have the point (0,-5).

If x=-3 then y=-4 and we have the point (-3,-4).

Now we plot this points on the plane:

Finally we join them whit a line:
