10=4(3a+2)
1: first you distribute the 4 to 3a and 2 (4*3a & 4*2)
10=12a+8
2: subtract the 8 from both sides
2=12a
3: divide the both sides by 12
1/6=1

U mean solve for a?
10=4(3a+2)
10=(4)(3a)+(4)(2)(Distribute)
10=12a+8
Flip the equation.
12a+8=10
Subtract 8 from both sides.
12a+8−8=10−8
12a=2
Divide both sides by 12.
12a/12=2/12
a=1/6
