Ax + By = C is the standard form.

Subtract 2y on both sides to make the y variable present on the other side of the equation.
Now we get
3x - 2y = 5.

A is 3 since that is the number which precedes x.
B is -2 since that is the number which precedes y.
C is 5.

So 3x = 2y + 5 in standard form would be 3x - 2y = 5.
