If you would like to calculate
1 3/14 - (-2 1/7)
and express the answer in the simplest form, you can do this using the following steps:
1 3/14 - (-2 1/7) =
17/14 + 15/7
= 17/14 + 30/14 =
47/14
= 3 5/14
The result in the simplest form is
47/14
.
