Answer:

15

Explanation:

3/4 (the amount in the bag to start) divided by 1/36 (weight of a single marble) = 3/4 / 1/36 = 3/4 * 36/1 = 108/4 = 27 marbles in the bag to start with

1/3 (weight left in the bag) divided by 1/36 (weight of a single marble) =

1/3 / 1/36 = 1/3 * 36/1 = 36/3 = 12 marbles left in the bag

27 (marbles to start) - 12 (marbles left) = 15 marbles removed

I know this question is old, but I searched for the answer before I eventually figured it out. Hope it can help someone.
