Given expression

3(2m + 5) - 6(4m - 2)

= 6 m + 15 -24m +12

= (6-24) m +27

= -18 m +27

Step(ii):-

Given that the form am + b

- 18 m + 27

The value of a + b = - 18 + 27 = 9
