What is the difference between a canal and irrigation system?

A canal is a place that moves boats along, while irragation is something that travels water from a river/lake etc. that brings the water to your plants and waters them. I hope this helps u! ☺️

One difference is the size: canals are big enough to travel through them, while irrigation systems can be very small

Another one is function: canals have the function of enabling transport, while irrigation system that of bringing water to an agricultural field.
