explain how you know the number of decimal places that should be in the product when you multiply two decimal numbers together

Say if i had 21.1 x22.2 and if you lined it up you would put your decimal straight dow say if you had 1.1 x4.67 you whould put the 4.67 at the top then you would put the one under the 4 then put you decimal down take the other 1 and put ot under the 6 be hind the second one you put a zero but you dont't have to i hoped this help you and also you can look how many decimals are an start at the tight and move 123456789 decimal spaces
