A. Movies provided relief from the everyday problems of the Great Depression.

Entertainment has always been an important part of the american citizen, from radio to film, including tv and now streming services, when the great depression in the 30´s came along the movies were a nice escape valve for all of those who were having hard times, for an hour or two they were only somone watching a movie and could forget their troubles.

the main reason why Americans enjoyed escapist films in the 1930s is because "A. Movies provided relief from the everyday problems of the Great Depression", since people could be "transported" to another land.
