There usually called cousin, sister, aunt etc but they are blood related, they tend to help out with things and there very trustworthy.
Sometimes they even take care of you with your school work or maybe you even live with them! :)

extended families consists of everybody else who is related to you besides your parents and siblings, such as uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews
