Answer:

The Code of Hammurabi consisted of 282 laws regarding trade, taxes, marriage, divorce, theft, slavery and debt. Many of these laws are similar, both in content and in writing, to those found in Deuteronomy and, which according to Abrahamic tradition God passed to Moses.

The code, written in Akkadian by King Hammurabi in 1750 BC, is one of the oldest and best-known legal compendiums, and one of the best-preserved specimens of its kind, as well as one of the oldest documents created in ancient Mesopotamia.

It is based on Talion Law ("eye for eye and tooth for tooth"), and is also one of the earliest examples of the principle of presumption of innocence, as it suggests that the accused had the opportunity to provide evidence.
