Answer: 9 hours

Explanation:

Given : Tameron is driving 540 miles to college.

i.e. Total distance = 540 miles.

Average speed = 45 miles per hour

(3)/(4) of the total distance =
(3)/(4)*540=405\text{ miles}

Formula :
\text{Time }=\frac{\text{Distance}}{\text{Speed}}

Then, the the time taken to cover
(3)/(4) of the total distance

=\frac{405\text{ miles}}{45\text{ miles per hour}}\\\\=9\text{ hours}

Hence, it will take 9 hours to get 3/4 of the way there.
