The answer would be 7.96.Because 1+1+1+1=4 and 99+99+99+99=3.96 and $4 +3.96=7.96.

This is a simple question of multiplication
If the cost of one book = £1.99
the the cost of 4 books will be
multiply the cost of 1 book which is £1.99 with 4
1.99 x 4 = £7.96.
