6x+12+7 first you distribute the 6. so 6 times x = 6x. then you multiply 6 times 2=12 then bring down the 7. which leaves you with 6x+12+7

First step: distributive property on the first term. The equation becomes:
6x+12+7
Next (and last) step: collect like terms.
