Photosynthesis doesn't occur in animal cell because plants contains a organelle called chloroplasts.

Photosynthesis requires chlorophyll and the organelle called a chloroplast, which do not exist in animal cells.
Photosynthesis only occurs in autotrophs, as autotrophs make their own food. We (or mammals in general) are all heterotrophs, who get their energy from eating other organisms.
Hope that helped you.
