Cytoskeleton is a web of proteins in the cytoplasm. It is the combination all of the microfilaments and microtubules. It is different from cytosol or cytoplasm. It provides structure providing support for the whole cell. It extends to every organelle and throughout the cytoplasm and to every part of the cell membrane. The cytoskeleton constitutes 3 portions, these are: Protein-tubulin or microtubules Protein-keratin and lamin or the intermediate filaments Protein-actin or the actin filaments
