m = (y_(2) - y_(1))/(x_(2) - x_(1)) = (-2 - (-4))/(10 - 8) = (-2 + 4)/(2) = (2)/(2) = 1

y - y₁ = m(x - x₁)
y - (-4) = 1(x - 8)
y + 4 = 1(x) - 1(8)
y + 4 = x - 8
- 4 - 4
y = x - 12
