Answer;
B. winter
Explanation;
Winter happens to be the coldest season of the year in polar and temperate zones. This season occurs before spring and after autumn each year.
Winter temperatures are often below freezing. Since the winter is cooler, this encourages trees to shed their leaves. Trees and plants stop growing during this season.
Therefore, it is during winter season when forests would look very stark.
