People of one area can produce much of one product, and in fact, not use that product. In this case, economic specialization occurs. This leads to more exchanging of goods and services with another area, which then leads to greater interdependence. When there is an unequal distribution of goods and services, specialization and the exchange of those goods occur. Areas are then able to benefit from the specialization and trade.

According to the passage, unequal distribution of resources leads to

A. environmental problems.
B. specialization and trade.
C. poverty and unemployment.
D. producing the same goods.

According to the passage, unequal distribution of resources leads to "B. specialization and trade" since those who lack certain goods trade the goods they do have, so everyone "wins".
