a. when driving in fog.
b. when vehicles are a quarter-mile in front of you.
c. when vehicles are more than one-half mile in front of you.
d. in inclement weather.

NEVER USE YOUR HIGH BEAMS DURING FOG! The fog will basically reflect the light back at you, virtually blinding you.
