the one that best explains how railroad companies were able to standardize their timetables in 1883 would be: by working together voluntarily they aware that if they do not do it, their trains fill often ran from one another and could cause a masive accidents. So, they decided to sit down with their competitions and arrange the time table that will benefit all of them.
