$(x)/(4) - (x+2)/(6) = (1)/(3) \ /\cdot12\\\\ (x)/(4)\cdot12 - (x+2)/(6)\cdot12 = (1)/(3)\cdot12\\\\3x-2(x+2)=4\\\\3x-2x-4=4\\\\x=8$

$(x)/(4) -( x+ 2 )/(6) = (x)/(3) \ \ \cdot 12\\ \\3x-2(x+2)=4x\\ \\3x-2x-4=4x \\ \\3x-2x-4x=4 \\ \\-3x =4\ \ / :(-3)\\ \\x=-(4)/(3)\\ \\x=-1(1)/(3)$
