6x + 1 = 4x + 19

First, subtract '1' from both sides.

6x = 4x + 19 - 1
Second, subtract '19 - 1' to get '18'.

6x = 4x + 18
Third, subtract '4x' from both sides.

6x - 4x = 18
Fourth, subtract '6x - 4x' to get '2x'.

2x = 18
Fifth, take the '2', leaving the 'x' by itself and divide both sides.

x = (18)/(2)
Sixth, since '18 ÷ 2 = 9', simplify the fraction to '9'.

x = 9

Answer: x = 9

do I understand coorectly, you have the following equation

6x+1=4x+19

and you want to know what x is?

first, let's put all the expressions with x on one side and all else on the other side:

6x-4x=19-1

and calculate this 2x=18

and divide by 2:

x=9

and this is the answer!
