K'=(1)/(2)m'v'^2\\\\K'=(1)/(2)* 3m* (2v)^2\\\\=(1)/(2)* 3m* 4v^2\\\\=12* (1)/(2)mv^2\\\\K'=12* K

So, the new kinetic energy will become 12 times of the initial kinetic energy.
