16- 2,8,1,16,4 ... I think he Is thinking of the number 16

Ok. The number he was thinking of was 16 because the factors of 16 is 1;2;4;8;16. Because when multiplying 1 and 16 it would be 16 and the other factors 4 and 4 multiplied together would also equal to 16. When dividing 16 and 8 you can get 2 another factor.
